Plant protection integrated reports

In Catalonia, there are 119 Plant Protection Groups (ADVs). In an area of 209.034 ha of crops, 22.322 farmers are given the support of their 179 advisors. Plant Protection Groups constitute a technical advice basic network that develop action programs in plant health. Their main objective is the implementation of area-wide pest management, as well as the prevention and control through the rational and sustainable use of plant protection products, and the application of the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

AgrospAI allows pest prediction companies to train their models while guaranteeing they do not get access to the raw data. Hence, Plant Protection Groups remain in control of the data they generate. They plan to use AgrospAI to make available the pest information they collect in different fields across Catalonia. Their aim is not to monetize this information but to know who is using it and to control what aim. This includes public administration agencies but also companies that have developed pest prediction models that need to be fed with real data to make more accurate predictions. AgrospAI allows pest prediction companies to train their models while guaranteeing they do not get access to the raw data, so Plant Protection Groups remain in control of the data they generate.

Currently, AgrospAI features a dataset with pest capture records:
